What is 3D PRINTING?
3D PRINTING is a process of producing three-dimensional solid creation of essentially any form through a digital model, achieved by using successive layers of materials that are laid down in different shapes.
But did you know that 3D PRINTING is not really a new technology? Chuck Hull of 3D Systems Corporation first invented it back in the year 1984 and since its debut to the public, the quest to improve and make the best out of this technology continues up to this date.

What is more interesting than 3D PRINTING.. Hmm..Well, how about designing an object using your own mind? A start-up Chilean company known as theTHINKER THINGbrings you a whole ‘nother level of imagination! Recently this 8th of May, THINKER THING made it possible to create objects just by literally using your IMAGINATION. Yes, I know, it’s that awesome.
They created a headset device that can detect the brain’s brainwaves and convert your thoughts into a digital model. It will then transmit your idea to the 3D printer that will now build the finished product.
VOILA, YOUR VERY OWN CREATION.

DOWNSIDE OF THIS? The revolutionary 3D printers are very costly! It was estimated that 3D printers would cost as high as 4 billion dollars in year 2015. Plus, this technology is very hard to learn that experts and professionals are the only ones who can use it.

THINKER THING has yet another invention to answer this problem. It’s pretty simple, actually. This November, they will launch an application where you can create your own 3D design just by using simple touch gestures. When done, the next step would require choosing from up to 30 materials you prefer and THINKER THING will now print the product for you. The price of the product can be as low as $9 for a full color object up to $19 for gold plated rings, depending on the design and materials. The product will now be delivered to your doorstep for a delivery charge as low as $6. Not bad, right?
