GRABTAXI is the first and largest taxi booking application in Metro Manila, as well as other Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Bangkok. With GRABTAXI, it becomes more convenient for passengers to book a taxi given their desired destination with just a few taps. As soon as you open the app, you’ll be able to identify the number of taxis nearby, and you all you have to do is input your desired destination and wait for the taxi to come pick you up. What’s even better is that with GRABTAXI, not only will you be able to get a cab conveniently, but you’ll also be able to estimate the fare and track the taxi designated to bring you to your desired destination.
We chose GRABTAXI because of the convenience and the additional transparency for passengers with regards to the taxis they get and the drivers themselves. There is an additional 70 pesos to the fare for using the app, which is justifiable given the good service the app provides. The relevance this brings to e-commerce is that it adds convenience and safety for passengers. Also, the way the app works shows better exchange of information online, given that you will be able to see the information on the taxi and its driver, while at the same time having the option of providing feedback on the performance of the said driver.
